Norton Firewall doesn't work. Internet Security tells me my Mac is not protected. There is an exclamation point in the firewall icon. When I click the firewall it tries to load but fails. Icon appears in the dock momentarily, then disappears.

I also have the same issue. Ever since I updated to the new version of norton internet security for mac, my firewall crashes before opening. Hopefully they can get a fix soon, as it seems to be an issue with the updated app working with OSX Mountain Lion.
If you can run Gather Symantec Info (as Ryan instructed above), that could be helpful in determining the problem.
Same issue, unable to open Firewall although other Internet Security functions appear to be fine. ver 12.4
