Firewall Problems after upgrade to NIS2011

rting-

why don't you tell everyone in this post? this is a user forum for discussion.

NIS 2011 Version 18.5.0.125 running on Windows 7 64-bit
Infinity AT version 5.0.8

Well after working on this for several hours this evening I was able to get the Infinity AT working.  I was able to log in and see the orders on the dome.

What I did was first reset the firewall to default settings.  Then instead of running TALauncher.exe I had to run Trader.exe found in C:\program files(x86)\YesTrader.  NIS 2011 then configured all the settings and rules automatically.

nt_fan23, you are a legend :)

Using Trader.exe seems to work for me as well. To this point I have been disabling the firewall before reinstating it after login was complete.

I assume you now use Trader.exe to launch Infinity - not the AT Launcher at all, because I still get the error if I do.

Thanks for posting.

Hi Arturo,

Thanks very much for the update! :smileyhappy: Letting NIS manage the settings, called Automatic Program Control is the default behavior. We probably should have had you try this before but the indications were that this started right away with the upgrade to NIS 2011 at which time there should not have been any firewall customizations to get in the way and cause problems.

I suppose it is possible that something hiccuped during the NIS 2011 installation that caused some corruption in the firewall.

The main thing is that this is working for you now. :smileyhappy:

Best of wishes and thanks again for the update.
