Here is the error message I get. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Norton 360 but still get the same message.
Hello Bill. Not sure WHO you spoke with, Cisco has nothing to do with Norton, its firewall, nor Windows Defender. Was your convo a call or a chat session with Norton support at the link below? This smells like a mullet to me.

Are you getting a pop-up within your browser when trying to log in your Norton account or elsewhere on Norton's site? Please post a screenshot of that if so. Here is how. https://community.norton.com/en/forums/how-post-image-forums-0

OK. Very good. Thanks for the help!
Yes, Norton 360 Deluxe includes a Firewall.

Please switch to Norton 360 Classic view.
If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open
Open calls Norton 360 Classic view
Please review:

Hallo!

"Public" is more secure than "Private" because Windows and Norton both recognize that sharing is safer on a private network than a public network and configure themselves accordingly. Security is ramped up when you are on a public network.
I'm little afraid because public sounds like it's not safe at all and with "restricted" I'm worried about connection
It's so weird that public blocks sharing with other devices and private not
Hello
Please make sure that the printer itself is listed in the Firewall as well as the .exe files for all the different functions of the printer. You can also try a reset of the Firewall and then try out the printer and all of it's functions and see if they work.
Thanks.

This page may help U out.
If you (TRULY) need to turn Smart Firewall off, you should only turn it off for a specified duration, after which it is turned on again automatically.
