First Class Client - is it Protected by Norton AntiVirus

We are using the First Class client, for taking school courses.

Do you know if Norton AntiVirus will stop bad files from being downloaded with this client?

 

I can't tell if Network Intrustion Prevention will monitor and stop files coming through this client or not.

 

Any comments, especially from Symantec employees, would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I will pass the info on to our school board, to help about 1800 other people.
