"Fix now" did not correct the item affecting status

There is the pop-up that states "item affecting status". The user clicks "fix it now", but it does not correct the problem. I then sign on as administrator (the first user does not have administrative priviledges")  NIS status is good, I log off, the other user signs back in and everything is fine.

 

This is not a BIG problem...just a hassle. ...because I am not always in this office.  How can this be fixed?
