I have Norton Internet Security on all three of our computers.. One for the laptop, one for my Vista machine and the other on the XP desktop. The desktops run fine. The laptop computer has the issue. It is a Dell Inspron 1150. I never noticed the issue before this renewal,, but ever since I renewed this spring, it has always showed the red "X" on the icon saying there is a problem. It seems the system wants to run a quick scan to fix the problem, but when it runs, it says "problem not fixed" and stays in the same condition with the red "X". I have done a full scan on a number of occasions, as well as numerouos "quick scans" ... ive even allowed it to run all night long, but that never fixes the issue. I ran the intelligent updater sucessfully, and ran a full system scan all night while in safe mode, per instruction on this page, but it did not even register on the scan log that a full scan ras run! And of course, it still has the red "X". Please help!
