I have a few questions for those parents who monitor their kids' "instant messages".
My teen daughter uses Yahoo's instant messager alot. (I've blocked her computer account from AIM, AOL etc.) She used to archive all conversations but now she deletes all conversations before signing off. I haven't downloaded Norton Family yet but wonder if I do, will she be able to KNOW that she's being monitored? Because it seems as if she will know.
Also, it seems that any instant messages she sends/receives on her computer account will be "stored/saved" for me to view whenever I want. Is this true? ANY messages? Yahoo? AIM/AOL? Any? Even if she deletes conversations before she signs off?
This sounds like a good program, but does it really work and can I do it WITHOUT her knowing I'm doing it. If not, can anyone recommend a way around it or a different computer program to go with? I'd really like to keep the monitoring on the "hush hush" if you know what I mean.
