I use NIS 2009 with Windows XP. I plan to install the Win 7 Release Candidate to its own partition on a separate hard disk, and dual-boot with XP. My goal is to become familiar with Win 7, since I'll be buying a new computer next year. I'm not planning to get any serious work done with the RC.
Since I'll be on the internet with Win 7, I'd like to install NIS, but I'm not sure which version of NIS to use. I can install NIS 2009 (my copy has three licenses) or the 2010 beta. Is it really true that NIS 2009 is not compatible with the Win 7 Release Candidate, and there is no Live Update to make it compatible? I understand that the 2010 beta supports Win 7, but its a beta version. I don't feel safe protecting my computer with unfinished software. Seems like I'm stuck. I could use some advice.
