patfl - Welcome to the Community and sorry to hear about your problem. Have you been able to follow Phil_D's advice about contacting Customer Support, using the on-line Chat? They are quite good at handling problems like this. Do you have any protection on your new PC? If not you might consider downloading the trial version of NIS2011 or Norton 360, to protect your PC until you can get your subscription problem solved. You'll then have to go through a few extra steps, to remove the trial version, before installing your original program, but it's usually painless and you can receive plenty of help from the people on this forum.
Before you do anything about adding Norton to your new PC please let us know what security program came on it pre-installed since most have something and if it is not identical to your existing Norton you need to uninstall in the usual way and then run a special clean up tool that we can point you to.
Otherwise you may have problems with installing your existing Norton or it may not run well.
But hopefully it has the same Norton that you have and customer support -- by CHAT is recommended by users who have done this -- will just sort out the activation for you.
for your help. They gave me the product key and I activated from that. Now all I have to do is figure out to change the original email and password, that email address is no longer active
patfl - Glad to hear you solved part of your problem. If you used Phil_D's link to the on-line Customer Support Chat line, they should have been able to help you reset you username and password. I guess you mean your username and password to your MyNortonAccount, didn't you?
