Part of Spell check button is behind Preview.

Hi huwyngr,

I was able to reproduce everything except this. Can you give me more details on how you reproduce this, including screenshots, browser/version, and screen resolution (or any other details display configuration settings).

I think I know how that happened with the spellchecker being behind the Preview button. I discovered that some of my macro titles were too long and that the macro menu bar had therefore brutally dislodged the Spell Check button and relegated it to the undignified position of lurking discreetly behind the Preview button. When I abbreviated my macro titles, the macro menu bar was no longer stretched and the Spell Check button no longer squashed up.

Is there a way to include a persons  Online/Offline status, under their name and rank, in each message.

This would be an easier and quicker way to find out whether you might get a quick response or not, to your reply/questions.

That's another thing that's missing: on the main page, when you logged in, you were able to see a list of your friends showing which friend was offline or online. Well, it's no longer there in the new layout, and I miss this overview of my friends' online/offline status.

It is there but on another page...I can't remember where I saw it but it is around!!! Click on NORTON USERS DISCUSSION FORUM and you will see it there...strange but that's where it is.

Hi mo,

I tried, but it's nowhere at all. What is not on the main page but what you see after accessing a board is the Top Kudoed Authors list (which used to be on the main page in the previous layout).

I was able to reproduce this when the text size was set to "X-Large" in the preferences. I'm assuming this is what those of you who are having this issue are using?

Hi

Is there no solution button in this section of the Forum or am I not seeing it? I know there used to be solution buttons before in this section.

Yaso, if you click on your own name ' Link.', on any of your messages, you will find your friends status on the right of the page which pops up with your details.

Hi Tim,

No, that wasn't the case with me; in my case, my macro titles were too long, making the macro menu bar stretch and push the Spell Check button behind the Preview button in the new layout  (I posted about this in more detail over here).

I know, but that's kind of impractical :-) Before, the overview was right there on the main page.

Hi floplot,

The Solution button is now located right next to the Reply button, and it's a plain grey button, no longer a large green clearly visible one.

Yaso,

To see my friends status I just click my name on the top of any page, beside the 'Sign In/Out',

As I always did, can't remember any other way

It's just over on the right now.

Just shows how quick this this new design grows on you.

Already forgetting some of the way things were.

boneidle:

Will have to get used to an extra click or two :-)

Tim,

Yaso has it I think -- Looks like the Macro box should not be stretchable.

This is my longest Macro title:

Alternative Norton Removal Tool download with instructions.

This May not be a change from before but it is very important

-- in Threaded VIew there is no Next Page or Previous Page nor bar of page numbers so if you have a thread that goes over one page as this does already and you get to the bottom of the page there is no way to get to the next page except to read the last message shown and then you may get half a dozen more messages but on a long multi multi page thread it's murder.

Nope -- I'm on default -- Use default (Medium)  (BTW CTRL + V does not Paste you have to RMC + Paste)

New Item

No helpful (?) links to help on the Preferences pages so no explanation what some items mean and what the settings do. There's a TAB for Linear Mode but none for Threaded Mode.

Not on my screen here in Forum Feedback:

Haven't looked elsewhere.

Not on my screen view -- the Reply button is at the top ..... OIC You mean the Reply Editor and the Post button ....

Yes that is an improvement although I'd like the POST button to be physically larger, even if not needed to accomodate the word.

floplot,

Yes, they butchered the toolbar in the Editor ..... and what on earth is a "spoiler tag" .... and why does it justify an icon?
