No problems here on Vista as well.

That's with IE7 ? Not Firefox?
I had the same thing happen with IE7.
I changed my screen resolution from its native 1680x1050 to 1024x768. Still same problem with both IE 7 and Firefox 3.
I then changed my DPI from 120 to the "normal" 96 and tried both 1680x1050 and 1024x768. Still same problem with both programs.
The spell checker window in IE is about one character wider than in Firefox in all of those combinations, but it's still too narrow.
I don't have any idea what else to try.
The only thing that happened was my desktop icons got all messed up. It took about 10 minutes to sort them all out the way I had them. Oh, the sacrifices we beta testers make! :-)
Are you using FF2 or FF3? If FF3, then the forum software is not yet offically supporting that browser. However if you can PM me a link to a screenshot that I can grab I will turn it in for review. Be sure to include your O/S and sp level, and which browser and which version.
Also another hint, with FF2, is to right click the editor window and select 'Spell Check this field' which you will have to do for each new post. This uses the FireFox spell checker and will underline in red. From a chat session I just had with another moderator, it appears FF3 is the same, although I'm not clear if the contextual wording is the same.
I'm using Firefox 3.0.1. XP Home SP3.
The problem is I have exactly the same problem with IE7. The only difference is that in Firefox 3, the Spell Check window pops up in the upper left of the screen, and in IE7 it pops up on the bottom center of the screen.
As for not officially supporting Firefox 3, I was wondering why Firefox's automatic spell checker didn't kick in here!
With Firefox 3, when I right click the new message window, one of the options is Check Spelling ... and it works.
I'll send you links later.
I've never used the forum's spell checker before today.
When the window popped up, the window was not wide enough to completely show the available options.
The options read:
Repl
Igno
Lear
Rep
All
Igno
All
My screen resolution is 1680x1050. When I use Ctrl-plus and Ctrl-minus in Firefox to change Firefox's screen point sizes, the problem remains.
Can you widen the spell check window a bit, or am I the only one with this problem?
It's OK in IE7 / XP Pro ......
