Had reason to contact nortons support , google for nortons support number not an ad listing but a true listing. It was an 1800 number. Rang number, asked for email and was told the email acc had been spoofed. Allowed computer access to confirm. A box showed search with new Caledonia as source. Was asked if nortons could fix problem as they already had access i agreed . Fee was $ 380 and 2hrs to fix. Was suspicious so contacted nortons again on an 1300 number. Rep told me no case no etc was on system and was told to close dialogue box and disconnect from internet. This i done while rep then helpfully helped me with my original problem other than making a note of my supposed spoofing nortons had no way of me contacting someone in the organisation to discuss the fraudulent listing and events and what steps to take with computer involved.
If it was my organisation i would be extremely interested.
Would love to discuss matter with relevant person.
Very disappointed in nortons none response from front line contact on a serious matter.
