"Fraudulent web page blocked" Paypal

Thanks to Norton's NIS2010.  I received a spoof e-mail from someone representing themselves Paypal.  I was asked to click a link and then enter A LOT of information including my address, SS# , DOB and bank card information.  The message has the paypal logo and just seemed very legitimate.  Attached is the e-mail content (saved with notepad)

AS IT TURNS OUT WHEN I TRIED TO SUBMIT THE INFORMATION IT ASKED, NORTONS INTERCEDED BLOCKING THE FRAUDULENT WEB PAGE.

It was trying to redirect me to www. sexualharassmentattorneys.com/themes/paypal.com/paypal.com/www.paypal.com.........

I clicked to "exit this site", so does that mean my information was not communicated to this spoof site?

Hi pattyandlee

That's a pretty standard spoof email.

It would appear that Norton has indeed saved the day, so to speak. It would, however, be prudent to check your paypal account and change your security on it.

I will ask a moderator to move this posting to the correct forum - NIS/NAV forum.
