Back in March I got an email from Norton saying I could upgrade my 360 for free to V4.0. I didn't get around to it but now that I want to do this- I'm not sure about how to do it. But there I see no clue about "free upgrade"- it's all about paying for a new program. Now, I suppose what will happen is that if I download it- the program will recognize that I already have an earlier version installed and the upgrade will go smoothly but I'm not 100% sure of this.
