Frustration with UI is about to make me switch AV

I run my computer with a standard account that has to enter the admin password when something important needs done.  However, Norton wants me to log into my admin account to do any work.  It will not allow me to make changes from my other account at all.  I should be able to enter my admin password.  I am really beginning to HATE Norton because of this.

Most recently, it started blocking a program I use fairly often, and I have no way of fixing it from my standard account.

I have used and evangelized your product for years, but if this is not resolvable, that is probably about to stop.
