FSDUI

Multiple Norton support chats have not resolved this issue, which started a week ago. After updating NIS to the latest 22.x version on Windows 7, I continually get a popup asking me to “install an updated version of your Norton product for Windows 10.” If I ignore it (as I already have the latest version I get messages saying “another Norton Downloader is already running”, making it difficult to do work. NIS is then disabled on reboot, forcing me to reinstall again. I have established that these popups are coming from FSDUI_NIS.exe, the downloader file found in Public\Downloads\Norton. If I close the downloader file and delete the file and folder, they reappear within 20 minutes, so that is not a solution. If I can’t find a way to block or disable FSDUI, I will be forced to abandon NIS entirely. I doubt this problem is universal; if it were it certainly would have been fixed by now. Any suggestions.
