My full computer scans with Norton Internet Security have shown approximately 1,140,000 Files and Directories and 15,000 Skipped Files, but all of a sudden are showing 550,000 Files and Directories and 209,000 Skipped files. Why the huge drop in the number of Files and Directories and why all the Skipped Files. I don't have any "exemptions" listed and I haven't removed any programs. I did do some housecleaning on my emails, but can't imagine that this housecleaning would make this huge difference. I have updated to Internet Explorer 9, but I would have expected that to increase the number of files, not decrease them. Any thoughts are suggestions would be appreciated.
