I was recently offered, and have downloaded, the latest version of NIS and I seem to have this problem every time that happens. In short the scheduled full system scan doesn't run.
It seem that NIS tranfers its set-up from the previous version OK but does not check the Windows scheduling set-up. (I'm still using Windows XP). In this particular case, the uistub.exe file is in a different folder from that employed in the previous version so, presumably, the file would not be found.
I have set the Windows scheduling up again by browsing to the file mentioned above - I'm assuming that it is the required executable file, as it was the one referred to in the previous Windows Scheduling set-up - so that part of the operation should be OK. I have set up the full scan scheduling (weekly, Friday at 7:00 pm - when I am out for the evening) so that should be OK too. However when I did a dummy run earlier today (all scheduling etc temporarily changed to Saturday at 12:15pm), NIS opened at the appointed time but I couldn't be certain that a full system scan had actually started as I would have expected to see that very display running.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong - if anything - gratefullly appreciated.
