Full System Scan - wish to scan only 2 of 3 drives - How do I do this?

In Norton 360, when I run a full system scan, it scans physical  Hard Drive C; System Reserved virtual drive E:; and physical slave drive F. The F drive is internal and cannot be shutdown by a switch or disconnection. Can I configure Norton 360 to scan only the C and E drives and bypass or skip the slave drive F? Thanks. Duane

Not quite sure what you mean by

<< The F drive is internal and cannot be shutdown by a switch or disconnection. >> ?

Do you mean F: is a second physical hard drive whereas C & E are partitions on the first physical drive -- like many PCs these days have a partition with a recovery system in it? I imagine D: is the optical drive?

It's a while since I used N 360 but there used to be a Custom setting in which you could select drive letters -- I used to complain with my PC having 12 logical drives on it that there was no Deselect All button!

If so you should be able to delelect F: and then scan -- I'm not sure if there is a selection of scan types for Custom or whether it's always a Full Scan ...

If this doesn't help hang on for someone who is using N360 at present.

The F drive is a second physical drive. The E drive was created by either Norton 360 or Windows 7 Ultimate so I am assuming it is a partion or a virtual drive and I do not mind it being scanned.

There does not appear to be obvious Custom settings option for Full System Scans hence my original post. I will look into deselecting the F drive. The F drive is 500GB in size. Thanks for answering. Duane

Hi Dcornella,

You cannot configure Norton 360 to run full system scans for specific drives. You can go to My Computer or Computer, right-click on any of the drives and select Norton 360 > Scan Now. This will initiate a full system scan in that specific drive. Similarly, you can run full system scans on any of the drives. You don't have to run full system scan so often, you can use quick scan otherwise.

Thanks for clarifying that,   Yogesh

I see that you can use the CTRL Key to select multiple drives and still get the link to Norton.

If you select a single drive within Norton does it then do a Quick Scan or a Scan influenced by Insight?

It seems that right-click scan actually runs a full system scan(Virus & Spyware Scan), not just a quick scan.
