When playing a game, in this case Darkfall, anytime a new player arrives on my screen the game freezes for 2-3 seconds to scan the network package. This was confirmed several times on the game forums, a result of using Norton Security Suite. I can see that it is true, as everytime the game freezes the Norton Security Suite icon in my taskbar changes for a few seconds. Giving the game "allow" access does not fix the issue. The common fix is to delete Norton Security Suite, and instead use competitor's software. I do not wish to do so however, does anyone know how to stop this from happening?
