I have reached the point where I will need to upgrade to a larger Hard Drive on my notebook.

I've reviewed the Ghost 10 manual and I'm still not sure how to proceed.

My current HD is partitioned: C: for all items and D: for my recovery.

Can I simply;

1. Run a complete backup.

2. Remove the old HD and install the replacement.

3. Install the Ghost 10 disk and start the PC.

4. Run recovery from the back-up external HD.

Will the above restore all files,etc. to the new HD?

All documentation in the manual refers to installing a second HD into the PC, not an option with a notebook.

Thank you in advance for your help and comments.

As long as the HDD is not a different type (i.e. SATA, IDE, SCSI) and does not require a different driver, then you can definitely create an image and restore it to the new drive.  Where you end up with problems is in restoring an image to hardware that is too dissimilar.
