Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude D830 with win xp sp2 and Ghost 10. I have made a full backup using ghost of my c:\ on an external WD harddrive. It showed a resotre point available for 33 days ago.

Disaster (Bank software database corrupted) has struck and i need to recover.

After using the wizard to resotre my computer it booted up into the recovery disk.

After completing it's operation it rebooted and the harddrive is unbootable. I also did not see it reading from the external drive.

Now I cannot boot to the recovery cd anymore, it stays black after pressing a key to boot from cd. After a while the cd spins down and that's it.

Is there any way to obtain a working recovery cd? Can I get Ghost 14 to recover the 10 image? I can only find save and restore 2.0 for sale, can this help?

Please help!

Ghost 14 and NSR 2 can both restore a Ghost 10 image.  The fact that you're booting to a black screen now may be due to a hardware problem.  I'd try the restore with a new CD first, but if that does not work you may be looking at hardware replacement being needed.
