I'm using Ghost 12.0, bought with my laptop which is six months old. OS is XP Professional, SP2 on a Dell Latitude D530.
Ghost successfully created two restore-point backups on a USB Western Digital Passport, which are schedule to run weekly. The computer was off and it missed one, and yesterday I agreed to let it catch me up. (Ghost is still successfully running daily backups of document files.)
When it runs, it gets about 85% into the backup, and then I get various failure messages, primarily that the system cannot find VProSvc. When I remove the OS and Norton fialure boxes, Ghost reports that I lost connection to the agent. When I click to reconnect the connection, it does so without difficulty and then warns me that my restore-point backups have been skipped.
These errors are not reported in Norton Ghost.log.txt, which seem to only report that "Norton Ghost servers started successfully". I cannot decipher the date/time codes (if that's what they are) in the VProConsole.log.txt file, but here is a clip from what I think was my second attempt last night and my attempt this morning to reconnect the service this morning when I arrive at the office and noticed that the error had again occurred.
