I have a 500GB SATA D: (NTFS) drive with some installed programs and data on it. It is NOT a boot drive. I also have a new 1.5TB SATA drive installed, formatted and setup as E: The system is happy with both drives. I've run a chkdsk on both drives.
I used Ghost 12 'Copy my hard drive' wizzard, select D: as the source and E: as the destination, and select no advanced options. I press Next and Finish and Norton tells me that al the data on my E: drive will be overwritten (there is nothing on it) and press Yes. The progress and Performance window comes up and after a few seconds, I get the message.
This operation cannot be performed while windows is running. You must complete this operation inside the recovery environment. Would you like to continue?
I press Yes, and nothing at all happens. Nothing at all.
I shut the system down and put in my Norton recovery disk and boot from it and there isno option for copying disks.
What the heck does one have to do to do a simple disk copy!!???
