I am using Ghost 12.0.5.29804 on a Window Vista machine. I have 2 internal hard drives C & E. C has the system, all programs and data files on it. E is used exclusively for Ghost backups. And here is my story.
In my zeal to uninstall a 'Trial' version of Microsoft Office, the process removed files I needed for my Office 2002. Much effort was put in to fix the problem but after a couple of days, I gave up.
First I did a complete 'File and Folder Backup'of all data types (this took several hours to run). Then I did a 'Recover My Computer' but it was dated April. This undid the damage to the program.
When I tried to 'Recover My files', Ghost was unable to find this last file backup (or any of my daily file backups). Gaining insight from this forum, I went to File / Import Backup Destination to add this last backup to the catalog index. The process runs for several hours and lists everything in the folder it was pointed to.
However after th Recover process is done, there is still nothing showing showing in 'Recover My Files' Advanced Search. I get the message "Search is complete. There are no results to display."
Am I doing something wrong or do I have corruption in the catalog index? What is my next move? I am running out of time before I have to run the next payroll for work.
Thanks

Well rebuilding the index file was the only other thing I could think of. However it did not work.
I tried directing it to the specific folder and it did not work.
Then I directed it to the entire drive where the backups are kept.
Any other possible suggestions on what to try? I am running out of time.
Thanks
I was hoping that you forgot to stop the Ghost service when trying to rebuild the catalog file. Do you have any recovery points (.v2i / .iv2i files) with the needed data?
