Hi all,
I've just purchased and installed Norton Ghost 14.0. Everything seems to work fine, but just one annoyance is that every time I boot my machine (Windows XP SP2) after I enter the login password and the Windows desktop comes up, I notice that the floppy drive is being seeked, not once, but three times (I hear the whirring from the drive).
I performed a LiveUpdate to 14.0.3.28361 (this didn't go well at first, then I had to run the automated update tool on the support website and that fixed it) and still the floppy is being seeked after login. Actually, I've just tried not logging in and it's still being seeked, so I suspect that it's a service that's starting automatically with the machine.
Thinking about it, it must be related to the service, as I just manaually stopped the Norton Ghost service in Control Panel and restarted it and my floppy drive made a noise.
How can I stop it from doing this? If I disable the service, I can't use Ghost.
If you need any more information, please let me know and I'll be happy to suply it.
Thanks,
Matt
