Just a comment on that document you linked to which says:
STEP 2 Check the status of SymSnapService
1 Click the Start button, and then click All Programs > Accessories > Run.
2 In the Run dialog box, type the following text: services.msc
3 In the Services dialog box, in the Name column, locate and double-click SymSnapService.
If the "SymSnapService" service is not listed go to STEP 2.
......
Note that last line -- we are in Step 2 so isn't it running around in a circle? Should it say " ... go to Step 3"?
[Sorry -- in my lifetime I've spent a lot of time proofreading ... and writing instructions for users! <g>]
i go through all the procedures, etc. and get to the 'this operation cannot be performed while windows is running. you must complete this operation inside the recover environment. would you like to continue?'
i agree, and then it just sits there, and does nothing (not not responding, just not doing anything)
ive tried everything i can think of, and nothing works, so can anyone shed some light on this?
