Solution to create C.S.R.D. -on 3 separate Dell computers with XP and After 65 hours on my own and 12 hours with tech. support - the solution to create a Custom System Recover Disk is to manually eject and remove the Norton 14.0 disk as soon as the part “copying to temporary location” reaches 100% then quickly put in a blank C.D.R.W and close the tray (do not click anything other then to close any pop-up drive message!). Give the program time to recognize the C.D. in the drive and then it will take over it goes through a few screens and then appears to hang at “preparing to write to the disk” at the 96% point. (do not worry, do not do anything!) it may sit there for 10- 15 minutes then it will “write to disk” and finish. Last tip: to enter the recovery environment let your C.S.R.D. whirl in the drive for a minute after tapping F12 and before clicking to"booting from C.D." (if you don’t give it time to recognize the disk it will bypass and start windows normally.) If I would have had this in my instructions I would have saved one week of heart ache. Attention Norton Corp. [[add a pause and prompt user to remove Norton 14.0 and place in a blank C.D. in the drive. at the end of "copying to temporary loacation]].
