Ghost 14.0 - system hangs when trying to create a custom system restore disk

I have a Dell laptop with Vista Home Premium installed.  Ghost 14.0 installed and I’ve been able to backup my C: drive and folders to an external hard drive.  I’m trying to create a custom system restore disk and the program is VERY SLOW.  It finally gets to the stage where I have to put a blank disk in (trust me, it’s a blank CDR) and when the screen states that it’s creating a CD/DVD image (I chose that as a backup in addition to burning a disc) the system hangs @ 0% and I’ve tried this twice and let the system sit for over an hour with no progress.  What do I do?  Right now I have no idea if this program can help me if I can’t have a system restore disk in addition to my backed-up files.  Please help.  Thanx!
