What happens when you try to create a custom recovery disk? Do you receive an error?
Also, which WD My Book do you have? Size? What machine are you using? Is it an OEM? If so which model? What kind of HDD's are you using? Do you have a RAID set up? If so, Hardware or Software?
Gives me error"Can not copy 64 bit device drivers to a 32 bit Symantec Recovery Disk,so i am not able to make Custom Recovery Disk.I use usb wired 1TG wd My Book.Motherboard is ASUS M2NPV-VM,OS is vista ultimate x64 SP1 OEM and no RAID set up.
I hope this info helped you.
Thanks
The recovery disk is a 32 bit Win PE environment. You cannot add a 64 bit version of the driver. We'll be improving the messaging around this in future versions. You can add the 32 bit version of the drivers that you wish to without error and be able to access those devices while in the recovery environment. If you don't have a 32 bit version of the driver, you'll need to download it from the manufacturer's site. This driver is only for use in the recovery environment and not within Windows.
