Ghost 14 Copy to SSD

I am planning to buy an SSD to use as my OS and program drive and I hope I can use Ghost 14 to copy everything from my current C drive to the new SSD.  First off, let me ask if that is possible?  I am running the 64 bit version of Vista and using the original install of Ghost 14 (since the update function doesn't work).  I understand the partition alignment of an SSD is a critical factor in how well it performs so I plan to ensure the partition is correctly aligned before I copy the files.  Will Ghost preserve that alignment?  I've never done this before but since everything else about Ghost is so straightforward I'm assuming this will be something as simple as a copy command.  Is this the case?

Thanks in advance for your help.
