I have been using ghost for years. I found out recently that Ghost14 and several versions prior, do not ghost drives correctly either with CopyDisk or by creating an image. I have contacted Symantec and they agree that ghost 2002 and in that range of versions, I believe worked properly, and they agree they made a change recently.
My problem is that a virgin drive with QuickBooks boots and works correctly. I CopyDisk the virgin drive and the ghosted drive will not boot Quickbooks and I also think I had a problem with MS Access and MS Outlook, however, MS was able to correct these issues. Quickbooks, will not boot, will uninstall but not reinstall properly on this ghosted drive. Intuit says Windows is corrupt. I have made a zillion tests on this all with the same results.
I can not do backups until I feel comfortable that this works. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone else have a fix for this.
