I am trying to copy my 120 GB Disk (2 Partitions OS and Data) - Type DYNAMIC
to a new Disk 1 TB ( Same Partitions) Type BASIC
I have installed the new drive and tried to copy the old to the new but am unsure as which swithches will work. I have tried a couple of times but I am still unable to get the new drive up and running.
Check options
Check SOurce for errors
Check Destination for errors
Set Drive active
Copy MBR
Destination type primary
No Letter give to new drive I am not sure if it will pick up the C:\ letter after the copy)
Should I configure the new drive as dynamic and unalloctaed space and give it a new drive letter other than C:\
How can I get this to work ?
Also Upon copleting a copy the indicator is successful, howver in disk managment I am getting that the new disk has changed to Dynamic and is unreadable status
