Looks like you have read errors on your C drive.

Go to the command prompt and run chkdsk /f.

I found Norton Ghost 14 apparently has a problem with Windows Vista. You are lucky you are getting an error message on backup. I could not restore from any of my many backups. I got the same type of error messages. Finally some acknowledgement that Symantec knows that this restore error happens but they don't know why and how to fix it.

I did learn that I absolutely had to have a spare harddrive to test the restores.

I now have switched to Acronis True Image and I am impressed and happy about the switch. I have not had any problems creating backups or restores. I am also still using the same hard drive that Norton Ghost 14 had a problem with. Since using Acronis, I have not had any problems backing up or restoring from this drive.
