Dear Everybodies,
I am also another victim of E1AD3212, just my problem is on Vista Premium 32 bit SP2 instead.
As others, APPCRASH on VProSvc.exe occured, and Error E1AD3212 appeared when press "Next" button in Ghost 14 welcome screen.
I had spent 5 hours with Tech Support 3 days ago letting them "fix" the problem remotely on my computer. I watched their works all along, but what the support tried was just unintall & re-install several times repeat & repeat, without any checking or changes particularly done relating permission/security setting on my PC. At last NOTHING WAS DONE TO HELP but telling me the problem need to be escalated and will get back to me in 48-72 hours, certainly, no futher response is received til now.
It IS NOT relating to any "customized" or "manual" changes of security settings on Vista. I bought in Ghost 14 just because I want to make a clean back up after I newly installed Vista on my new PC. Ghost is installed RIGHT AFTER I had installed Vista, updated all Windows Updates/SPs/Drivers, and installed McAfee Virus Scan & Ad-Aware. All of them were just installed with the default options without making any configuration changes yet. UAC, Virus Shield, Ad-Adware are ALL turned off and it indicated not any error during installation of Ghost.
Initially, I thought that I was just a unlucky individual case. After I went seach for solution relating E1AD3212 from the web, I was got surprised when I found I ain't alone & see there are SO MANY E1AD3212 problems reported from different peoples, certian even dated back to early 2008!! Frankly, I WOULD NOT BUY Ghost if I knew that before I made my choice.
Such a problem lasting that long for a year already, how come the Techincal Support has NO KNOWLEDGE at all to investigate & resolve the problem! There is still no known procedure or solution for tech support to tackle the issue? What's the difference for they do the uninstall/re-install or do it on my own!
TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED ON SYMANTEC. I chose to use Ghost because I trusted quality & service from Symantec should be good. I would say Ghost will be the last software I would purchase from Symantec.
Appreciate Much if anyone can provide help hand better then Tech Support. The setup of my new PC was dragged for days already...
