Ghost's compression is (to me) so slow as to make it unusable. I would like to turn it off, since I am backing up to a hard drive. I did this on a disk copy of my system disk. I also have a data disc that rarely changes. I had problems getting Ghost to consistently back up that disc (during an incremental backup, it would sometimes hang for hours during some sort of analysis, stuck at 1% until I finally killed it. It hung for far longer than the original full backup ever took.) I thought I would try using the Files and Folders approach since this is not a system drive, but I can't see how to turn off compression. There's nothing in the user interface. Is there, perhaps, a registry key for this?
