I had a 20 gig HDD and am replacing it with a 64 gig SSD. The SSD came out of an IPOD and I think needs to be reformatted for NTFS before I can restore to it. I tried deleting the existing partition table, but that did not seem to work. Ghost is still seeing multiple partitions even though I deleted them and when I view the table it shows nothing. In the Recovery program, here is what Ghost is seeing now:
993 KB unallocated
34.7 GB NTFS (was a larger FAT32 partition before I deleted the table)
21.2 GB Unallocated
How do I fix this so I can restore to one large primary partition without unallocated space?
Other info that may be useful - I saved a one-time restore point to an external USB HDD. I cannot do disk-to-disk because only one drive can connect inside the laptop at a time. Same reason I can't format the new drive before taking out the old.
