Hi,
I can back up my computer (Windows XP SP3) to my internal SATA drive, no problem, but the other day I tried to restore the image from the SATA drive to my main (IDE) drive.
Initially I got the SYSTEM_CHECK_ERROR blue screen of death, but having a look through these boards, I found out that I needed to set the drives in the BIOS to RAID instead of IDE mode. Now it lets me boot up to the recovery console.
However, I can't see the SATA drive at all while I'm there. I even created a new boot disk, which included the drivers (although it seems to include the drivers for my RAID card and not the drivers for SATA on my motherboard - ALi M5229 PCI Bus Master IDE Controller)
I can copy the backup image to a portable USB drive and restore it from there back to my IDE drive - that's fine for now, but I'm concerned, as I'm going to be running off a SATA drive as my primary drive soon, so I need a solution to allow Ghost to see my SATA drive.
Happy to supply info to help....
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.
