XP SP3 - Ghost 14, trying to do a Copy My Hard Drive to upgrade from a 4-yr old 60 gig to a new 500 gig drive. I've connected the new one as a slave and Windows sees it fine. When I go to Ghost 14 and do a "Copy My Hard Drive" after a few seconds it gives an error message like this:
This operation canno be performed while Windows is running. You must complete this operation inside the recovery environment. Do you want to continue?
I clicked Yes and it just exited out of the procedure. I expected it to put me into the recovery environment.
Ghost online help and User Guide do not mention anything about this not being able to run inside Windows and it seems like it's a pretty big step to ignore.
Am I doing something wrong? I don't even know what it means to be "inside the recovery environment." I do have a SRD and tried to boot from it, thinking that put me into a recovery environment.
Can anyone help?
