Ghost 14 - Some Machines RPC 800706be

Dear Symantec,

Recently I deployed a DLINK DNS-323 NAS. It has 2 x 1TB Western Digital Drives in it in Raid 1. I have purchased and installed 4 copies of ghost 14.0 and installed it on 4 Asus notebooks running Vista Business.

Before deploying, I installed it on my G1 and it worked fine for 2 weeks, every day scheduled no problems. In production the first 3 work flawlessly.

The 4th (and no doubt the bosses and most important) intermittently declares a RPC 800706be "RPC service" error and stops, typically 60-80% through ghosting.

It appears I am not alone in this problem. The following troubleshooting I have followed without success.

The machine is NTFS already, the backup location is AFAIK Linux and CLEARLY supports infinate file sizes.

Complete removal of all symantec products (Had Endpoint MR4 MP2 with AV ONLY (no threat/network threat protection))

Cleaned all temp and ran check disks e.t.c

Installed only Ghost 14.0 with updates.

Ran Ghost, got to 2.1gig / 70gig Failed.

Installed Endpoint MR4 MP2 again and ran all updates.

Rebooted after updating various network card drivers e.t.c

No change (2.7/70gig).

Have at one point, once, been able to create a backup, but only the first time it was installed and run.

There is a 100% identical machine on site, with same AV and office software, NOTHING DIFFERENT except word/excel documents/email settings and it backs up no problems. The other 2 asus models backup no problems, all connected to the same switch / NAS.

Any ideas?
