Drive D all of a sudden disappeared from a previously setup backup job. Thanks to the online chat technician, we found out that there are errors in the MBR on the D Drive and once that was rectified (reformatting the drive), Ghost picked up the drive again and all is fine.
That’s great to hear. I’m glad our Customer Support team was able to resolve the problem for you. Thank you for updating us on the status of your issue, and let us know if you have any questions.
I had been using Ghost 14 since the first week it has been out and it has served me well so far. My computer has 3 physical driver (Drive C: System, Drive D: Data, Drive E: Backup) and since June 20, Ghost 14 will only show and backup Drive C using imaging. The GUI does not show Drive D anymore despite the fact the Drive D is functioning correctly everywhere else and has not data corruption.
If I setup a new Files and Folder backup, I am able to backup files on drive D.
Any insight on how I can create an imaging backup for drive D again?
Where exactly is drive D: not appearing? If you could attach a screenshot to a reply, that might help clear up the problem. It sounds like when you attempt to create a Backup Job (but not a File & Folder Backup) of drive D:, Norton Ghost does not list drive D: as one that cane be used in the backup job. Is this the case? If so, there might already be a backup job created for drive D:, which you would have to remove before you can create another job. Please let me know if this helps, or if you have any other questions. Thanks!
