Hi
I have still no luck creating a custom recovery disk and as when I boot from the normal recovery disk I can not see my hard drives it looks as though ghost 14 was a wast of mony. Does any one know how I can contact symantec?
Thanks
Bob
To contact our Customer Support Team, click the below link:

If you could provide more information about your system setup (number of Hard Disks, RAID level, partition setup, etc.) that too would be helpful in determining the cause of the problem. Thanks!
Hi All
I bought Ghost 14 last week, all looked to be working fine. I made a recovery boot cdrom from the iso included in the download. However when I boot from the recovery cd my hard drives are not showing. It finds floppy disk dvd drive and a external usb drive all ok.
So I tried to make a custom recovery boot disk as in the manual but after ghost reads the standard recovery disk my computer gets a blue screen of death and restarts. Tried it several times all with the same result. I uninstalled ghost, then installed it on another machine but get exactly the same result, machine restarts after reading the original boot cd. My operating system is xp professional with sp3 on both machines
Thanks if you can help
Bob
Thanks Tony.
I followed the link but it took me to a chat type support which I spent about 2 hours with a support person about 2 weeks ago but the problem is not resolved. As I said before I have tried installing the software on 2 computers both with the same results. It installs fine backs up fine but on the computer I bought it for when I boot from the original boot cd all my hard drives are not visible so I can not restore my disks if I have a problem. If I try to make a custom recovery cd the computer reboots after reading the original boot cd. The computer has only one hard drive partitioned into 3. The annoying thing is I have used ghost 2003 for years with no problems
by the way the only suggestion the support person could give was it is a problem with Win xp sp3 which my machine has.
If you think any more info would help I can supply it but as the same problem is with two different machines !!!
Thanks
Bob
Could you provide details on the blue screen error? What type of HDD is this? Is this SCSI, IDE, SATA, SATA2, etc? Are you using an array? Is it a Software or Hardware RAID? What RAID level? Any other details you can provide? Thanks.
I had a very similar experience where NG14 would blue screen on me everytime I’d try to make a custom rescue disc (or enable Lights Out). Normally, a blue screen tells which file caused the problem. In my case, it was MFX.SYS. That file is from PC-Magic’s MagicFolder. Uninstalling it solved my problem.
