Ghost 14 uninstall - particularly on computer which also has Norton 360

Have 2 installations of Ghost 14, one on Tohiba Laptop, Vista Home Premium SP2 (32 bit), which also has Norton 360 ver 3 installed.

Second installation on Dell Desktop with Vista Ultimate SP2, and no other Norton product.

May need to uninstall Ghost on laptop because of possible corruption OR conflict with Norton 360.

Definitely want to uninstall Ghost on Dell Desktop (since have WIndows complete backup built into Vista Ultimate) and want to move that copy of Ghost over to another computer (wife's new laptop).

After researching on the forum, I just would like to confirm my understanding of the proper procedure.

1. Do NOT use windows program uninstall (not even initially), but instead use Norton removal tool.  Use that tool several times to clean out Ghost (how do you tell how many times to run it?).   Not sure if need to use that tool after normal boot-up, or whether should selective bootup (using msconfig) and turn off all non-MS services.  If NOT a normal boot-up, should I also disable all start-up programs?

2.  Should I also look into the registry and delete any Ghost or Norton entries?  If so, where might they be, and any "common files" to leave on so as not to disable other programs?   Should I check with Windows Clean Install utility to find remnants in registry?

3.  Will Live Update also be cleaned out by Norton removal toos, or does that need to be dealt with later and separately, and, if so, how?

4.  I assume that removal of Ghost on the laptop with Norton 360 will also remove Norton 360.  If so, any further action to clean out Norton 360 before re-install on the laptop?

5.  On laptop, where would want to reinstall both Ghost and 360, in which order should the installation take place?  Re-install with services turned off?

Many thanks for any advice or assistance (and I may post on the 360 forum on that  specific angle).  I recognise that these issues are touched on in several posts, but was not confident there was a definitive post on all these issues.
