Ghost 15.1 never finishes a back up (and where is tech support?)

I recently purchased and installed Ghost 15.1 to replace the orphaned product Save & Restore 2.0. I am using Ghost to back up our ~2 TB of data to a series of USB portable harddisks on a machine running XP Pro SP2.

 

When Ghost does its job, backing up the system, it often gets stuck at the end of a back up process. That is, it has an open dialog window (Progress and Performance) that has claimed it has "41 seconds remaining" that was open and in this state for the entire weekend. The application VProSvc.exe has been eating ~50% of the CPU for days. This is the exact same problem I had with Save & Restore. Rebooting clears the condition but leaves an incomplete back up. BTW, I have entirely disabled our Macafee virus software without any change to this issue.

 

In attempting to get support, which is why I moved up to Ghost, I get a website with 5 tabs about purchasing and installing the software and 3 tabs that provide only cursory information about making it work right. Is there no tech support for Ghost, other than this community? Where is the phone number to call? Where's the chat link?
