I made an image of the Windows 7 pre-installation of a new PC (recovery partition & windows partition), and saved it on an external drive. I placed a second harddisk in the new PC and recovered there the windows 7 image. Restoring and booting went fine. However, on booting I am now presented with a dual boot option:
- Windows 7
- Microsoft Windows Vista/Microsoft server 2008/Windows 7
Selecting either just starts Windows 7 and no further problems.
Questions:
- How do I get rid of this useless double boot option?
- Should I have made the selection "update MBR" when I did the recovery?
Any pointers appreciated?
