Ghost 15 and cloned SSD - How do I repair a schizophrenic system?

Hi,
I have been using Windows 7 ultimate on an OCZ Vertex2 60GB SSD drive. As I found 60GB was too small, I purchased a OCZ Vertex3 120GB SSD drive and wanted to clone the 60GB to the 120GB drive so I can use that as my new C: drive without having to reinstall windows and all my software again.

I decided to use Norton Ghost 15 to clone the drive and it looked as if it would be straightforward enough. The 120GB SSD was formated and empty as drive F:

In Norton Ghost, I selected Tools/Copy My Hard Drive and selected C: as Source and F: as Destination. Under Advanced options, I selected "Set drive active (for booting OS)" and "Copy MBR". I then let the copy process run until it was finished.

I then closed down the system, swapped the drives so that the new drive would be where the C: drive was, and rebooted.

When the computer started, it did some kind of reorganizing and then needed to be rebooted again.

The system then booted up leaving my with a screen telling me that Windows was not genuine and not allowing me to do anything. Thinking somrthing must have not been copied correctly, I closed down and connected the original SSD by itself and was asked to use the Windows recovery console to fix windows (I have not done that yet). Otherwise, that drive would not work any more either. When I reconnected the two drives as before (C: 60GB, F: 120GB) the system booted up properly and Windows was genuine again.

Obviously, Windows has got mixed up with parts of the operating system on each drive and now both are needed to boot. The windows installer no longer works so my system is well and truely screwed up.

I have been reading the messages in this forum trying to find a solution, but have not found any instructions on how to fix this. I did however find some threads where this kind of problem is described as being "schizophrenic" - an apt description.

I also found some instructions as to how to successfully clone a drive and see I made some mistakes. Why was it not possible for Norton Ghost to guide me better, I thought I could trust the software to do the job right - but I am not here to vent, I just need a way of restoring my system so that the original drive C: works again as before. I can then repeat the process as per instructions on this forum and hope it will work this time.

So please tell me how to fix my system, the only other option is to reformat the 120GB drive and install Windows from scratch.
