Ghost 15 - Can't Backup or Restore

When I run Ghost, to backup I select Run or Manage Backups. It displays three of my tasks and when I select one it leaves the Run Now selection grayed out.

If I select the One Time Backup option the screen that tells me to select the drives to back up only shows a USB drive which I only use to store backup on, and it does not show either my HDD (1TB) or my SSD (500 GB Samsung Solid State Drive). It appears as though there are no drives on my system except for the USB drive.

When I try to uninstall Ghost (maybe my reinstalling it might make a difference) I get a message that WIndows Installer is not working.

Some background. After Windows updates were installed a few days ago to my SSD (which is where I boot) the next time I booted it used my HDD (that drive came with the PC and I copied it to a new SSD. I was able to move files from the SSD to the HDD so I could work on my PC, but I could not boot to the SSD.

Yesterday I decided to restore the last backup I made of the SSD to the HDD. The restore worked and my system then booted to the SSD. If I try to tell the BIOS to boot to the HDD it now says the HDD is not a bootable drive!

But since the SSD is now back to booting OK I wanted to back it up to my USB drive and that's where Ghost is failing by not even allowing me to do that.
