I used Ghost 10 for years to make a weekly backup image of my system (C:\) drive, but can't get it to work with Ghost 15.
I followed the instructions on this Community page (i.e. delete partition/drive letter, quick format, etc.), but still no luck getting it to work: http://community.norton.com/t5/Other-Norton-Products/Ghost-Copy-Disk-does-not-recognize-new-hard-drive/m-p/220642/highlight/true#M21617
Here's the sequence of what happens:
---------------------------
Pop-up window displays:
"Checking entries in the MFT"
"Checking file system integrity"
"Copying drive"
"Calculating remaining time"
"Copying [Volume Name] to *:"
---------------------------
But the progress bar stays at 0% (moving 0s and 1s animation continues), and drive activity eventually stops.
From the log:
---------------------------
Error EC8F17B3: Cannot complete copying of XP Original (C:\) drive.
Error EC8F0409: Cannot copy source drive to destination location.
Error E7640001: The work in progress has been cancelled.
Error EBAB03F1: The operation was canceled by the user.
Details:
Source: Norton Ghost
---------------------------
As I said, this function used to work fine in Ghost 10, so any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
