Ghost 15 Files and Folder Recovery - Too many versions of recovered data?

I've figured out how to limit the number of recovery points in connection with backing up my entire drive, but when it comes to backing up data files and folders, I continue to get many, many *.fbf files, day after day.

The Files and Folders backup goes to an external drive. On that drive, there's a folder called "Norton Backups," which has a subfolder called "File Backup Data." Since the first backup on 12/21/2009, there are 213 subfolder there, named some variation of "fbfFIles_". Each such subfolder has various fbf files. (FWIW, the Files and Folders backup runs each night.)

These subfolders and files proliferate, and older ones don't go away.

When I first configured my backups, I didn't know enough to "limit the number of file versions for file and fold backups" I went to that setting, reduced that number to 2, and cleared the box that said "Delay changes until next backup." It went through the warning that stuff will be deleted, and I saw that the older versions of the DRIVE backups were gone (which I also intended), but all of the older Files and Folders backup data is still there.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.
