Ghost 15 Hanging On Copying Recovery Point To DVD-R

Hi,

I have Ghost 15 installed and have SP1. LiveUpdate finds no additional updates for Ghost, so I have the latest version I believe.

I have a backup made from the Ghost 15 recovery environment of my laptop. I created the backup in the recovery environment so I wouldn't have to install Ghost on my laptop as well. Anyways, I saved the backup to an external hard drive on my desktop. This is all well and good. Now, I would like to copy this recovery point to DVD-R so I have a second copy should my external hard drive go bad for some reason. I have to do this in Windows because the recovery environment won't let me create backups directly to optical media.

I can start the recovery point copy to DVD OK, but when it gets to disc 2, it says "Creating [backup name]_s01.v2i. Please insert media 2 into drive [drive letter]:\." I put a 2nd DVD in, and it just hung there. After an hour, I cancelled the copy and tried again. Same result. I tried a 3rd time letting it run overnight and it again was stopped at the same point (needing the 2nd DVD) in the morning. I tried a 4th time splitting the files into 4600 MB files (this option is not always available to me when copying to DVD and I am not sure why, but that may be a different issue). Same result. Not once did I get any kind of prompt saying resume the copy or some way to tell Ghost the 2nd disc was ready.

My DVD burners work just fine. I have created plenty of other things just fine with them. My GEAR drivers are up-to-date. I checked them against the GEAR website.

What could be going on? Please help as I would like to have a copy of my backup on optical media.
